Winter Events in The Village at Mammoth

Woolly's Dance Party

Every Saturday from mid-December to mid-April, join Woolly and his friends from Mammoth Ski and Snowboard School for Woolly's Dance Party in The Village at Mammoth. Families can enjoy music, dancing, hot chocolate and festivities for kids of all ages.

Live Music in The Village at Mammoth

Wind down after a long day of winter adventures with live music in The Village at Mammoth. Lakanuki Bar & Cafe, Side Door Cafe and Wine Bar and Shelter Distilling all host live acts throughout the winter. You may also catch music or a silent DJ outside in the plaza when weather permits. Check the events calendar to see when live music is scheduled.

Holiday Festivities in The Village at Mammoth

Visit The Village at Mammoth for holiday fun from Thanksgiving to New Year's and for holiday weekends throughout the winter, including Easter. From the Holiday Tree Lighting and visits with Santa and Woolly to fireworks for New Year's Eve and Easter activities with Woolly, holidays are always a treat in The Village at Mammoth.

Elevation Ski Week

In March, the annual Mammoth Gay Ski Week, Elevation, bring inclusivity and fun to The Village and Mammoth Mountain with a variety of on-mountain and off-mountain activities. An amazing group of friendly, gregarious, unpretentious guys and girls who are here to have fun, ski and board, and meet new friends. You'll leave this event with new friends and new memories.

Summer Events in The Village at Mammoth Lakes

Mammoth Feel Good Festival

This event kicks of the Summer season in a "feel good" way. With groovy bands, and a selection of craft beers to taste, the Feel Good Festival is a great way to kick off the warm, sunny mountain summertime.

4th of July events

Mammoth Lakes is a great place to be on the 4th of July because the fun is nonstop. The Village hosts a variety of family fun activities around the holiday including duck and Chihuahua races, plus their own fireworks display that is not to be missed.

GiddyUp Mammoth

Mild daytime temperatures and cool evenings are perfect for enjoying emerging country music artists at The Village Plaza in Mammoth Lakes. Bring your chair, canteen and boots, and get ready to GiddyUp!

Mammoth Jazzfest & Wine Walk

Mammoth Jazzfest is all about refreshing, renewing and reinventing jazz in Mammoth Mammoth Lakes. Mammoth Jazzfest is a collaboration of contemporary, fusion, Latin and other genres of jazz music. Festival attendees will have an option to taste an array of wines from around the world at the Wine Walk.

Mammoth Reggae Festival

Mammoth Reggae Festival is a free, three day cultural festival featuring craft vendors, regional art, and live reggae music. Come and enjoy all the positive vibes and leave with a better mindset on life.

VillageFest

The VillageFest is a summer tradition in Mammoth Lakes. Enjoy good food, music, outdoor bars, dancing and family fun. And don't miss the most popular performance of the summer season, Pink Froyd, wrap up this great festival.

Family Fun Day

August is Family Fun Month, and the Village at Mammoth wants to celebrate all the families near and far. The Village plaza fills with inflatable fun for the whole family and the kids are sure to sleep well after today.

Mammoth Margarita Festival

This annual festival celebrates Latin America’s most famous spirits each year during the second week of August. The Mammoth Margarita Festival features a margarita alley and a tasting of more than 20 premium tequila distilleries, as well as free live music.

Mammoth Rocks & A Taste of the Sierra

The best tribute bands in the country come to Mammoth Lakes for a weekend of free live music at the end of August each year. Combined with a tasting of local restaurants, Mammoth Rocks & A Taste of the Sierra is a popular event in The Village at Mammoth.

Mammoth Rock-N-Rye

Annual Labor Day weekend Mammoth Rock-N-Rye festival celebrates bourbon and whiskey. More than thirty distilleries, as well as craft breweries, converge on The Village at Mammoth along with three days of live music.

Getting to the Village at Mammoth Lakes

The Village at Mammoth is easily accessible year-round via Mammoth Lakes’ free transit system, with service from nearly anywhere in town, including all Mammoth Mountain lodges.

In Winter, ride the Red Line from Main Lodge, the Blue Line or Village Gondola from Canyon Lodge, or the Yellow Line from Eagle Lodge. If you're staying at a hotel, house, or condo, check the winter bus schedule to see which line services your neighborhood.

In Summer, hop on the Mammoth Bike Park shuttle to Main Lodge or take the Lakes Basin Trolley to explore the scenic Mammoth Lakes Basin. As with winter, check the summer schedule to find the best route from your accommodations.
