6 Family-Friendly Restaurants in Mammoth Lakes (Plus a Delivery Option!)

Mammoth Lakes has over 65 restaurants and lounges, and when you’re eating out with your kids, not just anything will do! Here are some of our family’s favorites, along with tips for getting the most out of your Mammoth Lakes family dining experience.

Family-Friendly Mexican Restaurants in Mammoth Lakes

Gomez’s Restaurant & Tequileria

Our go-to restaurant is Gomez’s Restaurant & Tequileria in the Village at Mammoth. Gomez’s features the largest selection of tequilas in town, and yet it also tops for family-friendly dining featuring excellent Mexican and Latin-fusion cuisine. The kid’s menu includes Mexican favorites, such as burritos, tacos and quesadillas as well as a hot dog free of antibiotics, hormones, and nitrates. Your kids will also love making new friends in the year-round sandbox on the patio.

Family-Friendly Italian Restaurants in Mammoth Lakes

Giovanni’s

Mammoth Lakes offers several options for pizza but Giovanni’s is a sure bet for sit-down or carryout dining. The restaurant also delivers! In addition to numerous pizza options (including a small with a gluten-free crust), Gio’s has excellent pastas and Italian entrées, plus salads, a small salad bar, and chicken wings. Giovanni’s is open for lunch and dinner starting at 11:30 am.

zPizza

Like many Mammoth Lakes families, we also enjoy zPizza. When we eat in, my daughter is mesmerized by the winter action sports movies on the big screens all around the casual pizzeria. They also offer carryout and delivery, and you can order online. The fresh, organic options can’t be beaten and there are plenty of gluten-free and vegan choices as well.

Campo Mammoth

Campo Mammoth is a family-friendly restaurant that offers authentic Italian cuisine. The restaurant’s kid’s menu is recommended for children 9 and under, but the style of food and pace of service may make it more appealing to older kids. Campo Mammoth is open for lunch and dinner.

Family-Friendly American Restaurants in Mammoth Lakes

Toomey’s

Too tired to get everyone ready to go out after a day on the mountain? In town for a holiday but don’t want to cook or fight the crowds? Check out Toomey’s. Chef Matt Toomey, formerly of the Tioga Mobil Deli in Lee Vining, prepares delicious gourmet meals for every taste. His breakfast offerings will fuel you up for a full day on Mammoth Mountain! Open every day from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm at 6085 Minaret Rd. by the Village, phone 760.924.4408, curbside delivery to your car available. You can also eat-in at the small restaurant, which baseball fans are sure to enjoy.

Burgers

Burgers is located across the street from The Village at Mammoth, so it’s a convenient spot for a family lunch or dinner. In addition to their signature burgers and sandwiches, Burgers also has good salads and a solid kid’s menu. Their milkshakes are some of the best in town — get your kids to share with you! Burgers serves lunch and dinner starting at 11:30 am.
