Whether your pooch likes to curl up in a high-end hotel or a rustic retreat, there’s sure to be an option that pleases you both.

Pet-Friendly Hotels in Mammoth Lakes

Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa

When your pooch and you want to find a place that truly has it all, point your noses in the direction of the Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa on Old Mammoth Road. With three acclaimed restaurants, a spa, a seasonal pool, Jacuzzi, après ski bar with fireside lounge, gift shop, sauna, steam room, fitness facilities and even mini golf, it’s the ideal spot to rest your paws.

For these reasons and more, the pet-friendly rooms and family-sized, three-bedroom chalets at the Sierra Nevada are extremely popular, so be sure to book them as early as possible. Canines up to 100 pounds are welcome for an additional $25 per dog, per day (two-pet maximum).

Keep in mind that pets are not allowed in rooms on their own, but you wouldn’t want to keep them from all the excitement Mammoth has to offer, would you?

Mammoth Creek Inn Hotel & Spa

For the dog with discerning taste, this repeat recipient of TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence is a welcome retreat with its boutique-hotel atmosphere of relaxed luxury. Recently upgraded with distinctive designer touches, the Mammoth Creek Inn Hotel & Spa also boasts a continental breakfast, a comfortable spa, dry sauna and well-equipped fitness room.

An easy, seven-minute walk along Old Mammoth Road will bring you and your pup to a number of Mammoth’s most popular restaurants, sights and shopping. Across the street is the Mammoth Museum at historic Hayden Cabin, and leashed pets are allowed on the stunning museum grounds. Not all of the rooms at Mammoth Creek Inn Hotel & Spa are pet-friendly, so be sure to ask for one of their special units when booking your stay.

There is a fee of $35 plus tax per dog, per day (two-pet maximum).

The Westin Monache Resort

Feel comfortable bringing along your canine companion to The Westin Monache Resort. The hotel caters to active pooches with easy access to nearby hiking trails, alpine lakes, streams and creeks, perfect for an impromptu swim. Pet-friendly amenities offered a the hotel include The Westin Heavenly® Dog Bed, food and water bowls with a mat, and a dog amenity kit. Pets cannot not be left unattended in guest rooms and must be leashed at all times on the property.

Mammoth Mountain Inn

Situated across from Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge, Mammoth Mountain Inn offers stunning views, ski-in, ski-out convenience and proximate access to Mammoth’s best mountainside activities and attractions year-round — all while your pet is allowed to join in on the trip. Amenities include Wi-Fi, fitness center, pool, whirlpool spa, game room, child care, the Adventure Center and complimentary airport and town shuttle service. A small pet fee is added to the price of the room when you bring your dog along.

Shilo Inn Suites

Dogs are welcome at this Main Street hotel, located right at the entrace to town. Every room at the Shilo Inn Suites has a kitchen, so your family (and pet) will feel at home. Humans can enjoy the on-site pool and hot tub after a day of adventuring with their four-legged sidekick. A small additional pet fee is added to the cost of the room when you bring your pet.

Motel 6

Part of the international brand known for convenience and affordability, the Motel 6 in Mammoth Lakes is a popular choice for guests looking to bring their canine along without breaking the bank, as pets stay free with no size restrictions.

Offering recently remodeled rooms, a seasonal pool and an accessible location across from the Mammoth Luxury Outlets, it’s also a great low-cost option for humans. Choose between one full bed, two full beds and one queen. This location also provides free expanded cable and morning coffee. Keeping costs down and excitement high is sure to equate to tail-wagging fun!

Sierra Lodge

Conveniently located on Main Street, the Sierra Lodge is another great option for traveling with pets in Mammoth Lakes. After a day of adventuring with your pet, plan to cook out at the on-site BBQ area, or relax in one of 36 rooms, complete with all of the basic amenities, including a TV.

Travelodge

Enjoy affordable adventures for all seasons with your furry family member when you stay at the Travelodge in Mammoth Lakes. The motel is centrally located on Main Street, with access to the pet-friendly (when wearing a muzzle) Red Line bus. No matter what your adventure entails, you and your pet will have a comfortable place to come home to. Plus, the Travelodge offers all of the basic amenities and free breakfast and WiFi.

Rodeway Inn

The pet-friendly Rodeway Inn offers an affordable option for staying with your pet in Mammoth Lakes. Choose from rooms with one king or two queen beds, plus enjoy free breakfast and access to an outdoor pool. Conveniently located along the ESTA Red Line (dogs can ride the free shuttle when wearing a muzzle), the Rodeway Inn has easy access to The Village at Mammoth and downtown, where you’ll find a number of dog-friendly spots, especiallly in the summer.
