Stay on the Bus Lines to Mammoth Mountain Eagle Lodge

One of the many wonderful things about Mammoth is that visitors can forget about the hassle of driving. Once you get to town, you can park your car and then rely on the convenient, complimentary transportation offered by the Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA).

Various ESTA shuttle lines run around the town of Mammoth Lakes and to each of the Mammoth Mountain lodges.

Where Do the Mammoth Lakes Yellow and Green Lines Go?

The ESTA Yellow Line runs between The Village at Mammoth and Mammoth Mountain Eagle Lodge daily in the winter, every 20 minutes. The ESTA Green Line also offers daily winter service to Mammoth Mountain Eagle Lodge from the downtown area, every 15 minutes. Staying on the Yellow Line or Green Line means easy access to the snow play at Eagle Lodge as well as the renowned shopping and cuisine of The Village… without the hassles of driving and parking.

Both the Yellow and Green Lines operate from 7:30a.m. to 5:30p.m.

Lodging on the Yellow & Green Lines in Mammoth Lakes

The areas along the Yellow and Green lines are residential-style communities. Rentals here are typically considered “fully equipped” lodging: houses, condominiums and town homes with kitchens or kitchenettes, fireplaces, WiFi, cable TV and DVD players. Finding the perfect rental along the Yellow or Green lines is best done with the help of a local rental agency.

These agencies manage units at picturesque complexes with a variety of floor plans and square footage, but all offer the two winter wonderland must-haves: hot tubs and laundry facilities. Other enticing amenities include garage parking, guest ski locker rooms, fitness centers, saunas, heated pools, elevator service and even electric-vehicle charge stations. Guests choosing fully equipped lodging have all the conveniences of home during their stay in the jaw-dropping Sierra Nevada mountains — all with easy access to Mammoth Mountain Eagle Lodge.

Mammoth Sierra Reservations

Mammoth Sierra Reservations offers condo and townhome rentals at a variety of locations along both the Yellow and Green shuttle lines. With more than 30 years of business in town, Mammoth Sierra Reservations has personnel on call around the clock, so there’s no waiting in the unlikely event that an issue arises. Additionally, they’ve put thought into luxurious details: their rentals boast the highest-quality sheets and towels, and each comes with spa-quality bath amenities.

Grand Welcome

Another local property management company offering rentals along the Yellow and Green lines is Grand Welcome. They specialize in quality lodging (including houses, cabins and chalets) that gives visitors both value and comfort. Who wouldn’t love that?

Mammoth Slopes Lodging

A third agency option for rentals on the Green Line is Mammoth Slopes Lodging, which is owned by the folks who run the Austria Hof Lodge and Restaurant. (You can check out our recent post about them here: include link to Blue Line post here.) In addition to booking services with no hidden fees, Mammoth Slopes Lodging also offers “stay for four, pay for three” deals, complete ski packages and pass-holder discounts.
