Mammoth Lakes Arts on the 4th Festival
Jul 2, 2026 – Jul 5, 2026
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Overview
For nearly five decades, Mammoth Lakes Arts on the 4th has been one of the Eastern Sierra’s most beloved summer traditions—a four-day celebration of creativity, community, and the vibrant mountain lifestyle that defines Mammoth Lakes. Founded in 1977, the festival now serves as Mammoth Lakes Recreation’s largest annual fundraising event, helping support year-round arts, culture, outdoor recreation, and mobility initiatives across our community.
Mammoth Lakes Recreation, a dedicated local nonprofit, proudly produces the festival as part of its mission to develop, enhance, and expand meaningful cultural and recreational opportunities. Every purchase, sponsorship, and visit to the festival directly helps fill vital funding gaps for community programs, youth activities, public art, and the outdoor experiences that make Mammoth Lakes special.
A ONE-OF-A-KIND EASTERN SIERRA FESTIVAL
Arts on the 4th brings together 50–70 local and visiting artists who showcase everything from fine art and photography to handcrafted goods and mountain-inspired creations. It is the only festival in the region that features primarily local musicians and artists, offering an authentic creative experience rooted in the Eastern Sierra.
Set at the iconic corner of Main Street and Old Mammoth Road, the festival sits in the heart of Mammoth Lakes—within walking distance of most in-town lodging, with the FREE Trolley stopping right at the entrance. Over the 4th of July weekend, the annual Town Parade passes directly alongside the festival, and the Freedom Mile race finishes at the event, creating an energetic, joyful atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
A WEEKEND OF ART + MUSIC + FOOD
As you explore the festival, enjoy delicious local food vendors, refreshing craft cocktails, regional wine, and local beer—all while taking in live music and family-friendly creative activities. We encourage guests to enjoy responsibly; the safety and comfort of our artists, volunteers, and attendees is always our highest priority.
A CELEBRATION OF CREATIVITY + COMMUNITY
Whether you’re visiting for the holiday, supporting local art, or discovering the work of new and returning makers, Arts on the 4th is a true Mammoth Lakes experience—a place where art, community, and the beauty of the Eastern Sierra come together.
We look forward to welcoming you to this long-standing tradition and celebrating another unforgettable 4th of July in Mammoth Lakes.
