When it comes to outdoor recreation, Shady Rest Park has a lot to offer, including playground equipment, a sheltered picnic area, restrooms, picnic tables, sand volleyball courts, softball fields, soccer fields and a skate park. An on-site concession stand offers a variety of snacks. Plus, picnic areas are available for reservations through the Mammoth Lakes Parks and Recreation office. Parking at Shady Rest Park is free. The park is open mid-May through November 1, weather permitting.
