Beginning in August, Mammoth Lakes Tourism (MLT) will welcome Sarah Winters, former Director of Sales & International Marketing for the North Lake Tahoe Convention & Visitors Bureau, as its new Director of Marketing. This announcement arrives on the heels of hiring two brand new positions – Samantha Lindberg as Digital Marketing Manager and Lauren MacLeod as Public Relations Coordinator.
Sarah Winters boasts over 15 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. During her tenure at the North Lake Tahoe Convention & Visitors Bureau, Sarah played a pivotal role in elevating the region's profile as a premier tourist destination, both domestically and internationally. With Madden Media, she spearheaded groundbreaking campaigns for numerous tourism boards. Sarah's innate understanding of a mountain destination and the needs of diverse target audiences will allow her to effectively support Mammoth Lakes Tourism’s aligned goals.
Samantha Lindberg, MLT’s new Digital Marketing Manager, is an accomplished digital marketing professional with seven years of experience in content management, web design, and photography. Prior to joining MLT, Samantha worked with the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce to rebuild their website from the ground up. Samantha’s focus will be to streamline MLT’s overall content marketing strategy, including web building and social media, and continue to create compelling visual content.
Lauren MacLeod joins MLT as the new Public Relations Coordinator to support media relationships and community outreach. She has eight years of content marketing and editorial experience in the outdoor and wellness industries, including bylines in Outside Online and affiliates. Prior to joining MLT, she wrote the restaurant series for visitmammoth.com highlighting locally-owned establishments. Through her experience with written media, Lauren understands how to share the stories behind Mammoth Lakes in a constantly shifting media environment.
“Mammoth Lakes Tourism is adding three creative and insightful team members across the communication landscape,” says John Urdi, Executive Director of Mammoth Lakes Tourism. “Their combined experiences and attributes will be key as MLT continues to focus on stewardship and education of our visitors and each one will be instrumental in helping to produce an environment beneficial for both visitors and our residents. Sarah, Samantha and Lauren each bring a new perspective and thought process that MLT is sure to benefit from.”
