Snowcat Tours in Mammoth Lakes

Take a ride in a snowcat for one of the most unique excursions in the Eastern Sierra. Snowcat tours are operated by Mammoth Mountain and offer visitors the chance to experience the backcountry from the heated comfort of a luxury snowcat. Each snowcat holds up to 12 people, making snowcat tours a great option for groups.
Mammoth Mountain Snowcat Tours
Mammoth Mountain offers two times for tours on the weekends (Friday-Sunday) with additional options on select holidays.
Minaret Vista Tours
Depart from Mammoth Mountain Inn (guests should arrive 15 minutes in advance of the departure time) and ride inside the snowcat to Minaret Vista, where you’ll witness unparalleled views of Mammoth Lakes’ signature skyline. At the vista, toast to the landscape and enjoy a spread of delicious eats.

Getting to Mammoth Mountain
By Shuttle
Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA) provides free roundtrip shuttle service to Mammoth Mountain. Take the Red Line bus to Main Lodge to access the snowcat tours.
The shuttle is the recommended mode of transportation to Mammoth Mountain, as traffic by car can be heavy during holidays and weekends. Learn more about the free shuttle to Mammoth Mountain here.
By Car
Mammoth Mountain is also accessible by car, however, parking may be limited on busy weekends and holidays. Parking at all Main Lodge is free, although paid premium parking options are available. A number of Mammoth Lakes taxi and shuttle services also provide transportation to Mammoth Mountain.
