Love for the mountains and the sounds of great music bring together world-renowned performers and enthusiastic audiences for the Unbound Chamber Music Festival. Please join us and let us grace your summer in the mountains with eight fabulous programs, as well as two free concerts by the talented international students of the Sierra Academy of Music! Tickets for evening shows are $35 for adults, $30 for seniors and $10 for children. For matinees tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for children.

July 19 – "European Vacation"

Featuring music from Austria, France and Italy (composed by a Russian; Tchaikovsky's high-powered string sextet, "Souvenir de Florence"). Artists include the Felici Piano Trio, Fabio Bidini, Corey Cerovsek and Emilio Colón.

July 20 – "Team America"

Featuring music composed in or inspired by the US of A. Artists include the Felici Piano Trio, violists Jaime Amador and Nokuthula Ngwenyama and cellist Thomas Loewenheim perform music of Bernstein (celebrating his centennial with music from "West Side Story"), George Whitefield Chadwick and Dvorak.

July 21 (matinee) – "Just Duet"

An hour-long recital of beloved works for strings and piano, including music by Debussy, Liszt and Rachmaninoff. Artists include Steven Vanhauwaert & Fabio Bidini, Emilio Colón, Nokuthula Ngwenyama and Corey Cerovsek.

July 21 (evening) – "There's Always Room For Cello"

A program highlighting the festival cellists as well as pianists Steven Vanhauwaert and Fabio Bidini. With music of Bach and Mendelssohn.

July 26 – "Eye of the Storm"

A concert of tempestuous works by Beethoven (his exhilarating String Quintet, "The Storm"), Brahms and Schumann. Artists include the Felici Piano Trio, violinists Chad Hoopes & Tereza Stanislav and cellist, Mark Votapek. 

July 27 – "Amadeus"

A program celebrating the immortal Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Artists include the Felici Piano Trio, Amy Jo Rhine, Robert Brophy and Cara Elise Colón.

July 28 (matinee) – "Just Duet"

Features artists are violinists Chad Hoopes (playing Ravel's finger-twisting "Tzigane") and Tereza Stanislav, Vedrana Subotic, Robert Brophy and Mark Votapek.

July 28 (evening) – "Gone Fishin'"

The festival crew teams-up for works of Schubert (his splashy "Trout" quintet), Brahms and Dvorak (the invigorating "Serenade for Strings").
