Line St. in Bishop) Join Lisa Fields as she shares the osprey life history, what makes the Mono Lake population so unique and wonderful photos of adults and chicks in their natural habitat. We may even get a glimpse of the other species Lisa manages - Northern Goshoask, Bald Eagle and teh California Spotted Owl. Lisa is a wildlife biologist for the Sierra District of CA State Parks and is in charge of wildlife management in parks extending from Pulumas-Eureka State Park to Mono Lake Tufa State Reserve, with an emphasis on raptor management.  She has been leading the osprey nest monitoring program since 2004. Racers can test their skills with some serious competition, while more laid back competitors can shoot-it-out for some fun prizes. Last years inaugural event featured top name US Ski Team athletes Stacey Cook, Bryon Freidman, Erik Fisher and many more ski and non-ski celebrities as team captains. Each team entered in the Mammoth Invitational will be comprised of 4 athletes and a celebrity captain.
