March 10, 2010 Program:&#xa0; Ospreys in the Mono Basin &amp;amp;amp; Beyond-Lisa Fields7pm at the White Mountain Research Station (3000 E. Line St. in Bishop) 
Join Lisa Fields as she shares the osprey life history, what makes the Mono Lake population so unique and wonderful photos of adults and chicks in their natural habitat. We may even get a glimpse of the other species&#xa0;Lisa manages - Northern Goshoask, Bald Eagle and teh California Spotted Owl. Lisa is a wildlife biologist for the Sierra District of CA State Parks and is in charge of wildlife management in parks extending from Pulumas-Eureka State Park to Mono Lake Tufa State Reserve, with an emphasis on raptor management.&#xa0; She has been leading the osprey nest monitoring program since 2004. This two and a half day event brings skiers with disabilities who ski in sit-down mono skis to Mammoth.Participants explore new terrain, learn new techniques and are challenged with new skills and adventures. Disabled Sports instructors teach and assist as the skiers enjy the mountain. Everyone socializes during complimentary lunches and dinner on Tuesday. All Mono Skiers are welcome. Scholarships are available! Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra offers this event tailored to beginners as well as intermediate and advanced skiers.

The Mammoth Invitational is a fund-raising event to benefit the Mammoth Center for Excellence - a facility in which will support the training needs of Eastern Sierra snow sports junior athletes in teh quest for excellence. Sure to be one of the most fun events of the winter, the Mammoth Invitational has something for everyone. Racers can test their skills with some serious competition, while more laid back competitors can shoot-it-out for some fun prizes. Last years inaugural event featured top name US Ski Team athletes Stacey Cook, Bryon Freidman, Erik Fisher and many more ski and non-ski celebrities as team captains. Each team entered in the Mammoth Invitational will be comprised of 4 athletes and a celebrity captain. After some coaching on Friday, the teams will compete in a race on Saturday for great prizes and bragging rights. For non-racers interested in attending there will be other event functions available including the awards dinner and live/silent auctions.

Antelope Valley Lions Club invites you to the Annual Cow Pasture Golf Tournament.   Only irons and putters may be used. 
  This is a best ball tournament.&#xa0; 
  Must use each player&apos;s drive once on the front nine and once on the back nine. 
  If God made it, you can&apos;t move it! Play around it, over it or through it! 
  Out of bounds is over any fence, or anywhere you won&apos;t hit your ball from. 
  We will use a shotgun start. 
  Final team selection for prizes will be determined after the start of the Tournament.RESERVATIONS: Please make your reservations&#xa0;in advance&#xa0;so we can make sure we have enough food and drinks for everyone!&#xa0;&#xa0;(We don&apos;t want to turn anyone away).
