Doug Rodricks, professional fishing guide with the Sierra Drifters Guide Service, talks to us about fishing in the Eastern Sierra during the winter.

What's different about fishing in the winter than the other seasons?
The fish are going to hold in different areas in the river than they would in the fall and summer time. Their feeding behavior is also going to be different. When you have migratory fish that are coming out of the lakes, their main mission is to spawn so they're not really focused on eating as much as if they were swimming up river.
