Local TransportationWELCOME ABOARD! The Mammoth Transit System (November 21, 2009 through May 25, 2010) offers a convenient, fun, and friendly alternative to getting around Mammoth. Passengers ride for free on all fixed routes in Town. The Dial-A-Ride service requires a fare and is available to all riders, with priority given to special needs passengers. Whether for work or play, we have a ride for you! RED LINE Mammoth Area Shuttle operates the Main Lodge to The Village and Snowcreek Athletic Club (Red Line) 7-days a week between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The bus stops every 15 minutes and the last bus departs the Main Lodge at 5:30 p.m. NIGHT TROLLEY The distinctive red and green Town Trolley (dashed red line) operates 7-days a week from 5:45 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. (until 2:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays) with stops every 20 minutes. Passengers can travel from Canyon Lodge to The Village then along Main Street and Old Mammoth Road with the route terminating at Snowcreek Athletic Club. Last Trolley departs The Village at 12:40 a.m., and Snowcreek Athletic Club at 12:45 a.m. Between April 27 and May 25, the Trolley operates every 30 minutes. BLUE LINE The Village to Canyon Lodge shuttle services Canyon Blvd. and Lakeview Blvd. with stops every 15 minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. The last bus leaves The Village at 5:30 p.m. YELLOW LINE The Village to Eagle Lodge shuttle services Lake Mary Road, Kelley Road, Majestic Pines Drive and upper Meridian Boulevard with stops every 15 minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. The last bus leaves The Village at 5:30 p.m. GREEN LINE The Vons to Eagle Lodge shuttle services Meridian Blvd., portions of Old Mammoth Road and Sierra Nevada and Azimuth Road with stops every 15 minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. The last bus leaves Vons at 5:30 p.m. EVENING HOSPITALITY SHUTTLE Guests staying in Mammoth wishing to shop and dine in the evening can now ride the complimentary evening Hospitality Shuttle, designated as the green dotted line. The evening Hospitality Shuttle operates 7-days a week from 6:00 p.m. to midnight departing The Village at Red Line Stop #19 to the Mammoth Mountain Inn on the hour. The Hospitality Shuttle departs Mammoth Mountain Inn 15 minutes past the hour, Grand Sierra Lodge & Village/Canyon Blvd., at the bottom of the hour, Juniper Springs Resort 40 minutes past the hour, and Vons (stop #9) 50 minutes past the hour. ORANGE LINE The Village to Tamarack shuttle services guests staying at Tamarack lodge along with Nordic enthusiasts enjoying the Lakes Basin. The bus operates every 60 minutes between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The last bus leaves The Village at 5:30 p.m. MID-TOWN LIFT The Mid-Town Lift (purple line) bus operates 7-days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with stops every 30 minutes. In addition to servicing the middle of town, passengers can now ride the Mid-Town LIFT to and from the Mammoth Lakes Library, and the Mammoth Ice Rink. OLD MAMMOTH LIFT The Old Mammoth Lift (gray line) bus operates 7-days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with stops every 30 minutes. This route serves the Mammoth Ski Museum, Mammoth College Campus, Hospital, Aspen Village and terminates near the winter closure of Old Mammoth Road. APRES SKI SHUTTLE BUS When the lifts close, there's plenty of fun to be had at the Yodler Restaurant, Tusks and the Dry Creek Bar at the Main Lodge. To make the evening that much more enjoyable, Mammoth Area Shuttle will operate a winter Après Ski shuttle bus from the Main Lodge to The Village seven days a week from November 26, 2009 to April 26, 2010. The shuttle bus will depart the Main Lodge on its way to the Village at 6:00, 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. DIAL-A-RIDE SERVICE The popular door-to-door Dial-a-Ride not only services the Town of Mammoth Lakes, but can deliver passengers to the Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge. Service operates year round between 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Call 760-924-3184 for more information or to make a reservation.
