"Visions of the Eastern Sierra" is the theme of the Sierra Summer Festival's 2008 season. The two main events, on August 8 and 9, will feature the Eastern Sierra Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Bogidar Avramov, in a multi-media presentation of Smetana's beloved music from "My Fatherland", and photographs and video works by noted local artists. This nature-inspried program also includes Beethoven's awesome Symphony No. 6 ("Pastoral"). Peformances will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Mammoth Mountain Inn. Tickets range from $10.00 - $25.00.
