Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra "Mono-Ski Madness" March 12, 2010 - March 14, 2010
This two and a half day event brings skiers with disabilities who ski in sit-down mono skis to Mammoth. Participants explore new terrain, learn new techniques and are challenged with new skills and adventures. Disabled Sports instructors teach and assist as the skiers enjy the mountain. Everyone socializes during complimentary lunches and dinner on Tuesday. All Mono Skiers are welcome. Scholarships are available! Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra offers this event tailored to beginners as well as intermediate and advanced skiers.

Celebration of Women of the Eastern Sierra - Pioneering Women of Mammoth Lakes March 6, 2010 - September 30, 2010
Organized by the Eastern Sierra Cultural Heritage Alliance, an exhibit on the pioneering women of the Mammoth Lakes area will be on display at the Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center, (2510 Hwy 203) until September 30th. Imagine what it was like to leave your home and travel by wagon train to the west. Discover hardship and joy in the diaries of those that made the journey. Early settler dresses and belongings will be on display. Books available for purchase include: "Ho for California," "Westward the Women," "Westering Women," and "Women's Voices from the Mother Lode."
